• Supports both HMAC SHA256, SHA1 and MD5 algorithms per RFC 2104
• Supports AES XCBC-MAC
• Provides 64-bit input datapath
• Provides two 64-byte message buffers virtually eliminate the idle time for the core engine.
• Supports 64-bit interface for register reads and writes.
• Supports 64-bit interface to write idigest (HMAC computed over ipad) and odigest (HMAC computed over opad) data as well as to read the final message digest data
• Provides a separate buffer so next packet’s idigest and odigest can be pre-loaded before HMAC operation has finished on the current packet for improved throughput and performance
• Proven in silicon at 250 MHz in 0.13u technology giving an effective throughput of 2.9 Gbps
• Proven in FPGA and at 250 MHz in 0.13u technology in system level IPSEC Applications
